Chris Fonseca was elected in October 2010 as Councillor for Ward 3 in Mississauga and as a Regional Councillor for the Region of Peel. She previously ran her own successful business in the Health and Wellness sector and has also worked extensively with not-for-profit organizations that understand the importance of responsible fiscal planning and management.
Silvia Gualtieri is a lifelong resident with 5 generations of family roots in the ward. She was honoured to serve as Councillor and proudly chose to raise her family in Mississauga alongside her husband, Angelo. Passionate about staying connected and advocating for the community she calls home, she looks forward to continuing her work ensuring residents get the support needed.
Peter Fonseca, a former Olympian and top Canadian marathon runner, is the Member of Parliament for Mississauga East–Cooksville and a former Ontario Cabinet Minister for Labour and Tourism.
He has lived in the riding for nearly 20 years with his wife, Ward 3 Councillor Chris Fonseca, and their two children, and is fluent in English and Portuguese.
